To enrol in the EWP training, participants must meet the following entry requirements:

• Minimum age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Identification: Provide valid photographic identification (Photo ID) that is not expired.
• Unique Student Identifier (USI): Must provide a valid Unique Student Identifier.
• English language: Participants must have a strong command of the English language, literacy, and numeracy skills to understand training materials, safety instructions, workplace procedures, and assessment requirements.
• Physical capability: Must be physically capable of safely undertaking the practical training and assessment.
• Safety requirements: Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions, identify workplace hazards, and comply with relevant safety procedures.
• Clothing and footwear: Must wear appropriate clothing and safety boots during practical training and assessment.
• Support needs: Participants who require additional support should discuss their needs with Daysafe Training before training commences.

Participants must have a strong command of the English language to understand the course content, follow safety instructions, and successfully complete the written theory assessment. The course comprises online learning, a written theory assessment, and a practical assessment. 

Course Details: The theory part of this course is completed online, using any device with an internet connection, including a smart phone or tablet. The online learning must be completed prior to attending the practical session.

Practical & Final Theory Assessment: After completing the Online-Learning Modules, students will attend the practical session on the date and time as selected during booking.

1 Day Course (For experienced operators)
Price: $595 per person
Duration: 1 Day Blended Learning (Face-to-Face and Online Learning)
Maximum Students: 6 people

This 1 day course is designed for any person wishing to obtain the nationally recognised License to Perform High Risk Work Class Code WP who has previous experience in operating an EWP.

Limited practical training is provided as part of this course. It is mainly “assessment only”. Participants attending this course need to have at least 40 hours current EWP operating experience.

It is a Worksafe requirement that the written assessment is closed book. Please be confident that the participant is competent and capable of passing this course in one day. Daysafe Training will not be responsible for students who fail this course. Refunds will not be given for an unsuccessful result.

The course comprises online learning, a written theory assessment, and a practical assessment. Participants must have a strong command of the English language to understand the course content, follow safety instructions, and successfully complete the written theory assessment.

2 Day Course (For inexperienced operators/beginners)
Price: $825 per person
Duration: 2 Days Blended Learning (Face-to-Face and Online Learning)
Maximum Students: 8 people

This 2 day course is designed for any person wishing to obtain the nationally recognised License to Perform High Risk Work Class Code WP and is suitable for participants with little or no previous EWP operating experience.

After successfully completing either course, applicants will be able to:

• Be aware of duty of care requirements, relevant sections of the O.H. & S. Regulations and Australian Standards.
• Safely plan and execute all operations involving the use of an Elevated Work Platform including stability, movement and setting up.
• Select the correct machine for individual jobs
• Be aware of hazards associated with the use of an EWP
• Conduct pre-operational checks
• Use emergency decent equipment provided with the machine.
• Understand the legislation covering the use of an Elevated Work Platform.
• Know and be able to use the correct personal protective equipment required when operating an EWP.

The course comprises online learning, a written theory assessment, and a practical assessment. Participants must have a strong command of the English language to understand the course content, follow safety instructions, and successfully complete the written theory assessment.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
According to WA Work Health & Safety (WHS) Legislation, any person (at least 18 years of age) that is currently enrolled in a course of High-Risk Work License (HRWL) training, can then start learning to perform the work as a trainee when supervised at the workplace by a person with a current HRWL for the work.

Upon successfully completing the training, participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment issued by Daysafe Training and the required supporting documentation to submit to WorkSafe as part of the High Risk Work Licence application process.
