To enrol in emergency warden & chief warden training, participants must meet the following entry requirements:
- Identification: Provide valid photographic identification (Photo ID) that is not expired.
- Unique Student Identifier (USI): Must provide a valid Unique Student Identifier.
- English language: Participants must have a strong command of the English language, to understand training resources, complete required documentation, communicate effectively, and undertake written and practical assessments.
- Physical capability: Must be physically capable of safely undertaking the practical training and assessment.
- Safety requirements: Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions, identify workplace hazards, and comply with relevant safety procedures.
- Clothing and footwear: Must wear appropriate clothing and safety boots during practical training and assessment.
- Support needs: Participants who require additional support should discuss their needs with Daysafe Training before training commences.
The course comprises online learning, a written theory assessment, and a practical assessment. Participants must have a strong command of the English language to understand the course content, follow safety instructions, and successfully complete the written theory assessment.
PUAFER005 Operate as part of an emergency control organisation involves the skills and knowledge required to work within the command, control and coordination structure of an Emergency Control Organisation (ECO).
An ECO’s priority is the safety of facility occupants and visitors during an emergency which means ECO members are responsible for pre-emergency, emergency and post emergency actions. It includes undertake pre emergency planning, taking appropriate actions in an emergency and assisting with post emergency activities.
PUAFER006 Lead an emergency control organisation involves the skills and knowledge required to make decisions about the safety of occupants during a facility emergency and to give instructions on the priority order for responding to an emergency incident.
It includes leading the preparation of facility emergency response procedures; commanding, controlling and coordinating facility emergency response procedures and responses and concluding the facility emergency incident. Individuals who undertake this work may also act as the primary liaison with emergency services after their arrival.
No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
Online Learning: The theory part of this course is completed online, using any device with an internet connection, including a smart phone or tablet. The online learning must be completed prior to attending the practical session.

Practical & Final Theory Assessment: After completing the Online-Learning Modules, students will attend the practical session on the date and time as selected during booking.
Upon successfully completing the training, participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment issued by Daysafe Training.
