The course comprises a written theory assessment, followed by a practical assessment. Participants must be able to read, write and understand English in order to complete the written assessment for this course.

CPPFES2020 – Conduct routine inspection and testing of fire extinguishers and fire blankets specifies the skills and knowledge required to conduct routine monthly, six-monthly and yearly inspections and testing of fire extinguishers and fire blankets at client premises. Service activities are conducted in compliance with requirements of the National Construction Code (NCC) and schedules specified in the relevant Australian Standards.

CPPFES2010 – Inspect and test fire hose reels specifies the skills and knowledge required to inspect and test fire hose reels at client premises and replace hoses and drums. The replacement procedures apply to existing risers fitted with a control valve. Service activities are conducted in compliance with requirements of the relevant Australian Standards and National Construction Code (NCC).

Online Learning: The theory part of this course is completed online, using any device with an internet connection, including a smart phone or tablet. The online learning must be completed prior to attending the practical session.

Practical & Final Theory Assessment: After completing the Online-Learning Modules, students will attend the practical session on the date and time as selected during booking.
